In an effort to address rising healthcare costs and promote the use of remote monitoring, Nonin Medical has collaborated with some of the finest healthcare and technology companies worldwide in an effort to advance the implementation of telemedicine. Our contribution — the revolutionary Onyx® II, Model 9560 fingertip pulse oximeter — is designed for interoperability and is compatible with emerging open standards such as Bluetooth's Health Device Profile (HDP), IEEE11073 and Continua.
As one of the Founding Members of the Continua Alliance, Nonin Medical and its wide array of Continua partners are dedicated to the development of cross-industry standards to reduce the cost of healthcare from acute care to the home.
Establishing a Connection
As with all Bluetooth wireless devices, a two-way connection must be made in order to receive data from the Onyx II, Model 9560. We are currently working with a number of providers to develop personal and commercial health solutions to communicate with the Onyx II, Model 9560. We will continually update the lists below as more solutions become available.
