There are two specific things to be aware of during setup:
The WristOx2 3150 is a Bluetooth device that connects to your computer. Therefore, your computer must be Bluetooth capable and have it enabled. When Bluetooth is enabled, there is usually a Bluetooth icon in the system tray.
If this icon does not appear in the system tray, then either your computer does not have Bluetooth or it may not be enabled. See your computer or Bluetooth adapter manufacturer for further assistance.

There are several different Bluetooth stacks on the market. The three most popular will be covered with this tutorial: Microsoft, Toshiba and WIDCOMM.
To access the visual interface for this stack, try double-clicking the Bluetooth icon in the lower right corner of your computer desktop. If you do not see it there, you may have to look for the icon in the Control Panel.
After clicking the New Connection button on the screen, the Add New Connection Wizard will take you through the process. Select Custom Mode.
Before clicking the Next button, the device needs to be in Discovery Mode. To do this turn on the WristOx2 3150 by pressing the small button on the top-left of the device. For the next 3 minutes the device is in discovery mode.

Because of limitations that existed in previous versions of the WIDCOMM Stack, it is important that the version being used is 5.1.0.4200 or higher. This can be verified within the stack by clicking Help > About My Bluetooth Places on the menu. The version number can be seen on the About dialog box.
If you have an older version you can download a newer one here. Be sure to uninstall your older version prior to installing the updated one.
