Todd Austin: Reaching 40 years is a remarkable achievement, especially in medical device technologies. It reflects decades of consistency, trust, and a commitment to doing things the right way.
For four decades, Nonin has been known for delivering accurate, dependable measurements in even the most demanding clinical environments. As someone who relied on these products throughout my clinical career, I’ve seen firsthand the confidence that trusted accuracy gives healthcare professionals at bedside and beyond.
This milestone represents more than longevity. It reflects a sustained commitment to quality, innovation, and performance that continues to guide how we serve clinicians and patients today.
Q: You’ve spent more than 30 years in respiratory care and medical technology. What drew you to Nonin at this point in your career?
Todd Austin: Over the course of my career as a respiratory therapist and a leader in medical technology, I’ve worked across nearly every care setting—critical care, sleep diagnostics, transport, pulmonary function testing, and remote monitoring. In each of those environments, Nonin devices were present and trusted.
That reputation for accuracy and clinical reliability is what drew me to the company. Nonin has remained focused on delivering noninvasive monitoring solutions that clinicians can depend on to support informed decision-making.
At this stage in my career, it was important for me to lead an organization whose purpose and values align closely with my own. Nonin’s commitment to advancing patient care through practical, well-engineered solutions made this a natural fit.
