Nonin Medical was founded in 1986 by CEO and physicist Phil Isaacson and three engineers who wanted to make noninvasive healthcare measurements more affordable and accessible. These visionaries were literally “inspired to invent” — developing revolutionary hand-held pulse oximetry technology that offered simple, robust performance in an easy-to- use, portable device for a much lower cost.
Today, Nonin is a global leader in developing noninvasive medical monitoring solutions. We may have outgrown Phil’s basement, but our Vision remains the same: to improve the quality of people’s lives throughout the world by expanding the capabilities of noninvasive measurements.
